At Tupats: A Beautiful Arabic Style Font for Creative Projects

I was working on a brand board for a local café, and the moment I opened the font library, something caught my eye. It wasn’t just any font—it was At Tupats, an Arabic style font with a soulful touch of ancient calligraphy. As I started testing it on a logo concept, I felt like I had stumbled upon a hidden gem.

A Font with Character

At Tupats isn’t just another display font. It carries the elegance and fluidity of traditional Arabic script, but with a modern twist that makes it feel fresh and versatile. The curves are soft yet deliberate, and each letter has a handcrafted quality that speaks to its roots in ancient calligraphy. It’s not overly ornate, which is a relief—many fonts in this category can feel too busy or difficult to read when scaled down.

The personality of At Tupats is warm, inviting, and slightly mysterious. It feels like it could be used for anything from a Ramadan-themed poster to a boutique packaging label. Its mood is timeless, which means it can fit into both classic and contemporary design styles without clashing.

Testing At Tupats in Real Branding Work

I tested At Tupats across several branding elements. On a logo draft for a handmade soap brand, it worked beautifully as the main typeface. The letters flowed together in a way that felt natural and authentic, giving the brand a sense of tradition and craftsmanship.

When I placed it on a packaging mockup, the font stood out without overwhelming the design. It added character to product labels and helped elevate the overall aesthetic. For a social media layout, At Tupats was perfect for headlines and captions, especially when paired with a clean sans serif font for body text.

On a website header, it looked elegant and professional, even when used at smaller sizes. It didn’t lose its charm, which is a big plus for a display font. I also tried it on business cards and found that it worked well for short phrases, such as names and taglines.

Where At Tupats Shines

At Tupats is best suited for projects that benefit from a decorative, expressive, or cultural flair. It works exceptionally well as a headline font, logo font, or accent font in editorial design, packaging, and web design. It’s ideal for restaurant menus, magazine titles, souvenirs, and Ramadhan-themed projects, where its unique look can add authenticity and visual interest.

However, it’s important to note that At Tupats may not be the best choice for long-form text or small-body copy. Its intricate details can become hard to read when used in extended paragraphs or at very small sizes. That said, it’s perfectly fine for short phrases, slogans, and decorative elements.

Font Pairing Suggestions

To balance the elegance of At Tupats, I recommend pairing it with a simple sans serif font like Montserrat or Open Sans for body text. This contrast helps maintain readability while keeping the design cohesive. If you want to keep the theme more traditional, a serif font like Playfair Display could work well too.

For a more modern approach, consider using a minimalist sans serif alongside At Tupats to create a dynamic contrast between old and new. Just be sure to let At Tupats take center stage—its beauty should shine through without competing with other elements.

Practical Tips for Using At Tupats

If you’re considering using At Tupats in your client work, make sure to test it thoroughly before finalizing any designs. Try it on different backgrounds, sizes, and color contrasts to see how it performs. Also, check if the font includes alternate characters, ligatures, or swashes that could enhance your design further.

Another important step is to review the licensing terms. Since At Tupats is a commercial font, ensure that you have the right permissions to use it in print, digital, or merchandise-based projects. Always double-check the file formats available—whether you need OTF, TTF, or webfont versions for your specific needs.

Lastly, remember that At Tupats is a display font, so use it thoughtfully. Let it add value to your design rather than overpower it. When used correctly, it can elevate your brand identity and leave a lasting impression on your audience.
